Legacy Hotel, booked – Superior Queen Room (16 sqm)
Positives ??
Reception staff were polite and welcoming.
Pleasant atmosphere with plants and vintage luggage lift at the entrance.
Room color scheme (deep green + white) feels calm and comfortable.
Air-conditioning works well and keeps the room cold.
Towels and bed linens are of very good quality – soft and comfortable.
Electric kettle provided is a reputable brand (KHIND) with glass design.
Location is next to the famous Sarawakian restaurant “Lepau”, as well as a Western restaurant (Sharing) and a BBQ spot. Lots of food options nearby.
Negatives ??
Room is extremely small (16 sqm feels very narrow).
Wash basin has no counter space – can only fit two glasses for toothbrush & toothpaste; no room for cleanser or other toiletries.
The electric kettle had no proper socket nearby – I had to boil water on the small bedside table.
For the price and location, the overall value feels a bit low.
If you don’t have a car, getting around might be inconvenient. (I rented a car, so it was fine for me.)
Overall:
I only stayed one night (8pm check-in, 7:30am check-out). It was fine just for sleeping, but if staying longer, the small space and practical inconveniences would be noticeable.

Great vintage style new boutique hotel. Cozy, comfortable,not spacious but overall great stay. Friendly staffs.

It’s located just right in front of Lepau, the staff were nice, whole environment felt calm and peaceful. Something unique is they also sell handmade rattan bags in lobby area, perfect if u are looking for a meaningful souvenir or something special to take home.
One little bonus that I really appreciate is they currently offer complimentary breakfast, a nice touch to start the morning!
Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a cozy stay

Newly renovated boutique hotel with friendly staff.
But the room was quite small, and there were frequent piping noises during the night (auto toilet flushing and dripping water from the shower noise) maybe due to new hotel with low pressure and air inside water piping. The light from the signage outside also very annoyed, bled through the blinds. Hard to sleep due to both the noise and brightness.
On the upside, the hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the popular Chun Hui Cafe, known for its local breakfast. I recommend trying the kolok mee and spring rolls — both were delicious.
